MS500 Swing Barrier

The MS500 is a 600mm wide-passage swing barrier built for entry points that need to move more than foot traffic — luggage trolleys, parcels, and wheelchair access all pass through without needing a separate accessible lane. A 20W DC brushless motor drives it at 40 to 50 people per minute, and the SUS304 stainless steel body is rated for both indoor and covered outdoor installation. As a standalone unit with dry contact/relay signal I/O, the MS500 connects directly into whatever access control setup a site already runs.

Description

The MS500 Swing Barrier controls pedestrian access through a lane noticeably wider than standard turnstiles — 600mm versus the typical 500–550mm — making it suited to hotels, transit stations, hospitals, and offices that need accessible-width entry alongside regular foot traffic. Each cycle enforces one-person-per-authorization passage through anti-tailgating detection, closing the panel before a second, unauthorized person can follow an authorized user through.

The barrier ships as a mechanical and electrical unit only — motor, glass panel, cabinet, dry contact/relay I/O, and voice prompt feedback — and connects to whichever authentication method the site uses. This includes any external RFID reader or centralized access controller, letting one hardware platform serve very different site requirements without needing a different barrier model for each authentication type.

Features:

600mm Wide Passage

— Wider than most swing barriers on the market, purpose-built for luggage trolleys, parcel carts, and wheelchair access without a separate accessible lane.

20W DC Brushless Motor

— Delivers quieter operation, lower maintenance, and longer service life than standard AC drives, at a low power draw.

40–50 People Per Minute

— Rated throughput keeps entry moving during shift-change or peak hours without a queue forming at the barrier.

Anti-Tailgating Detection

— Enforces strict one-person-per-authorization passage on every open cycle.

SUS304 Stainless Steel Cabinet

— Corrosion-resistant construction rated for indoor use and covered outdoor installation.

IP44, -10°C to 60°C Operating Range

— Suited to most Indian site conditions, though not for fully exposed outdoor locations.

Voice Prompt + LED Status Indicator

— Clear audible and visual feedback on every valid or denied access attempt.

8 Optional Access Control Methods

— Swipe card, RFID, iris recognition, fingerprint, palm vein, face recognition, QR code, coin/ticket, or manual operation — chosen based on site requirement.

Applications:

Transit Stations

— The wide passage and coin/ticket compatibility suit metro and railway environments handling passengers with luggage.

Hotels

— Accommodates bell carts and guest luggage at lobby entry points while card or QR-based authentication manages guest access.

Corporate Offices

— Card, fingerprint, or face recognition integration at lobby entrances handles shift-start volume without queuing, connecting to a smart card reader or HID controller for centralized management across multiple doors.

Banks & Financial Institutions

— Controlled, dignified customer entry without the confined feel of a full-height turnstile.

Gyms & Clubs

— Fast QR or card-based member entry, with the wide lane accommodating equipment carts.

FAQs

What makes the MS500 different from a standard swing barrier? +

Its 600mm passage is wider than typical swing barriers — specifically built for luggage, parcels, and wheelchair access alongside normal foot traffic, rather than pedestrian-only entry.

Does the MS500 include a card reader or biometric device? +

No — the MS500 is the barrier mechanism itself. Card, biometric, and QR readers are optional integrations selected based on the site's access control requirement.

What is the MS500's maximum throughput? +

40 to 50 people per minute — enough to handle peak-hour office, hotel, or transit traffic without a queue building at the barrier.

Is the MS500 suitable for fully outdoor installation? +

It carries an IP44 rating, suited to indoor use or covered outdoor entry points — not fully exposed outdoor locations facing direct rain.

What access control methods can be integrated? +

Eight optional methods: swipe card, iris recognition, fingerprint, palm vein, face recognition, QR code, coin/ticket, and manual operation — letting one unit serve different site requirements.
